CAPPUCCINO In the Park
A Unique Mobile
Coffee Catering Service
Karen Barmakian’s professional life has been comprised in one of many facets of the food and beverage industry: she has worked in catering, bartending, managing and consulting since graduating college. “I enjoy being with people and the hectic pace of the business,” said Karen of her career choice. After eighteen years at a popular fine dining restaurant in Encinitas, it was in 2006 that Karen opened her distinct mobile coffee cart company – one that
has been thriving ever since.
“Cappuccino in the Park was created to fill a void in the catering industry for a mobile coffee service in the North County area and was established in 1992 before the start of the Food Truck craze,” explained Karen. Today, her mobile Coffee Truck or Coffee Cart for indoor set-up makes her service possible for all types of events. “From weddings to parties, we’ve done it all!”
Karen’s favorite events are when she is able to support local schools. Cappuccino In the Park has made appearances at Torrey Pines High School, Santa Fe Christian School, and many more. “We especially love being there for the kids,” said Karen, “We are sought after for school and sport league fundraising because we have something for everyone to enjoy.”
You can find Cappuccino in the Park at their local spot at the weekend Seaside Bazaar in Encinitas, when they are not contracted out. In addition, Cappuccino in the Park has catered corporate events, school fundraisers, sporting events, broker open houses and popular warehouse sales. “We have served clients at a variety of venues in San Diego, including Legoland, Taylormade, Prana, SPY Optics, La Costa Resort, Coldwell Banker and The Del Mar Country Club.” And while its mobility allows the business to stand out, Cappuccino in the Park remains focused on client satisfaction.
