Del Sol Magazine One Year Anniversary
The Premiere issue of Del Sol Magazine is published. The magazine’s cover feature, Glamorous as Ever, highlighted the legendary Del Mar racetrack, with an exclusive inside look with jockey and model Chantal Sutherland, and Chief Marketing Officer of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, Craig Dado.
The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2013 Annual Celebration of Business Awards. ZCode Media’s own Publisher and Owner, Derrick Breaux, received the Business Leader of the Year Award.
Del Sol’s second issue focused on the local youth volleyball sports programs in the area. We talked to Torrey Pines High School and Canyon Crest Academy’s Head Coaches, Brenna Dean and Ariel Haas, about the benefits of the sport and their outlook for the upcoming season.
Daisy Aguilar, our Student Star feature, showcased her talents in Del Sol’s pages as the recipient of the La Colonia Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year.
We placed Christopher Ong in the spotlight as the Student Star feature, for exceling in state-wide math competitions, music and martial arts.
This issue’s cover feature centered on the first 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Del Mar, The Del Mar Foundation, and the incredible efforts the organization goes through to improve the quality of programs, events, beaches and parks and more in the City of Del Mar.
Del Sol featured the Del Mar couple Stephanie and Pat Kilkenny as community volunteers, who found a way to give back to the charitable causes close to their heart with the nonprofit, the Lucky Duck Foundation.
Del Mar American and Solana Beach Little Leagues starred as the March/April cover feature. We spoke with the leagues’ presidents about what it’s like to lead these community programs.
Nancy Weare is awarded as one of Toni Atkins’ 2014 Women of the Year for her active work and involvement with the Del Mar Community.

ZCode Media welcomed our newest addition to our local, community magazine family, 08/10 Magazine. We celebrated with a launch party held at the Carlsbad Flower Fields.
