Del Mar Hills Invites Families for Tours and “21st Century Night”
Del Mar Hills welcomes parents of incoming Kindergartners and all other grade levels to come tour Del Mar Hills Academy on the morning of Monday, March 16—and explore the tight-knit community that offers both competitive academics and unique programs. One can choose from tours at 8:30 am or 10:30 am; during either you can tour the campus and classrooms—meeting teachers, students and fellow parents—and learn about Del Mar Hills’ ongoing commitment to academic excellence and the education of the whole child.
As a Del Mar Union School District School of Choice, students from throughout the district are able to attend Del Mar Hills Academy. Del Mar Hills Academy is a California Distinguished School, as well as a nationally acclaimed Blue Ribbon School. Our educational program is grounded in standards-based, progressive and developmental core-curricular instruction integrated with the fine arts. Kindergarten registration at the school begins on April 1. For more information see http://dmusd.org/hills.
Current and prospective families are also invited to come to Del Mar Hills at 5:30 p.m. on March 19 for the school’s 21st Century Learning Night. This will give guests an opportunity to receive an overview on Common Core shifts in instruction and attend break-out sessions with classroom teachers and specialists in every subject—from primary math and PE to coding, engineering and science. Pizza will be provided courtesy of the PTA. More information is available at www.delmarhillspta.org.
