The Del Sol Lions Club has donated $300 to a Solana Beach robotics team called the Code Crunchers. The funds will help cover the team’s travel expenses to the World Championship in St. Louis, MO. The Code Crunchers, comprised of five members ages nine to 14, is one of 108 teams selected from 29,000 entrants to create a more efficient way to manage trash. On the same day they donated to Code Crunchers, the Lions received $1,000 from the County Employees Charitable Organization to help fund a flooring project at the St. James and St. Leo Dental clinic in Solana Beach. The clinic aids uninsured patients with basic dental care. Learn more at www.delsollions.org.
