Market Cuisine West Provides Personalized Service and Exquisite Flavor
Although Market Cuisine West was established just this year, owner and chef Stephen GianDonato has a lifetime of experience in the food service industry. “I grew up around our family deli businesses doing basically every job you can do,” he shared. Stephen opened his first restaurant in Atlantic City, NJ at the age of 18, attended culinary school, and began to work his way through a variety of high-level industry jobs. In 2004, Stephen opened Market Cuisine Catering in Wayne, PA, through which he catered many prestigious events including presidential inaugurations, the Atlantic City Boat Show, Wawa Welcome America festival, and Dad Vail Regatta, among others.
Stephen and his wife Stephanie recently decided to relocate to San Diego, and closed business doors in Pennsylvania. “Once out here, I saw the quality of service that was provided in my field,” Stephen said, “and decided I had to show the area how I do things.” And Market Cuisine West was born.
Market Cuisine West is a full-service catering and event coordinating company that handles every aspect of your party, from planning to execution. The company is available for any type of small or large event including private dinner parties, weddings, holiday parties, bridal/baby showers, funeral receptions, corporate meetings, and outdoor events. Stephen offers highly personalized service, meeting privately with each client to design the menu, sample menu tastings, and discuss any additional needs. Clients work directly with him from start to finish.
Stephen has experience with a wide range of cuisines, including Italian, American, Asian, Mexican, and vegetarian, and is always adding new items to his repertoire. He does the preparation and cooking himself, and can customize an event menu based on the client’s personal tastes. “I pride myself in knowing all cooking techniques,” he explained, “which allows me to be able to cook all types of food in all different styles.”
