More Than Music

Del Mar’s third KAABOO festival celebrated another successful year in September, drawing guests from all 50 U.S. states and over 30 different countries to the Fairgrounds for a weekend of music and fun. The musical line-up over the three-day event included acts like P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Muse, Weezer, David Guetta, Alanis Morissette, DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), Kesha, Jason Derulo, Andy Grammer, Milky Chance, and Smash Mouth, among many others. Attendees also enjoyed stand-up comedy from the likes of David Spade, Sebastian Maniscalco, Demetri Martin, Maria Bamford, and others; live contemporary art installments; fine cuisine and culinary exhibits; craft libations; spa indulgences; and late-night dance parties.

KAABOO Del Mar prides itself on being different than a typical music festival, offering guests a new kind of upscale entertainment experience with comfort, cleanliness, and environmental responsibility at the forefront. What’s more, one dollar of every pass sold is distributed among local community partners through KAABOO’s charitable giving program, KINDNESS. Beneficiaries include MusiCares, Surfrider Foundation, Del Mar Schools Education Foundation, Del Sol Lions Foundation, San Dieguito River Valley Land Conservancy, Armed Services YMCA San Diego, Voices for Children, Challenged Athletes Foundation, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, McKenna Claire Foundation, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and Waves of Impact.
