The Caccavo Family Stays Active on the Coast
In 2004, the Caccavo family – which includes parents Jim and Kimberly and children Christopher and Grace – was happily living in New York City when they bought a summer home in Solana Beach. “Jim discovered waves and surfing in Solana Beach,” shared Kimberly, “and decided to spend every day going in the water until he mastered the sport.” In 2006, they moved to San Diego permanently. Now, 12 years later, the Caccavos are living – and loving! – the West Coast lifestyle. Jim is an avid surfer and still enjoys his daily dip in the ocean. Kimberly appreciates all the opportunities for outdoor activities, like yoga and hiking. “We love the community and how easy it is to get everywhere,” they said. “But most of all, we love the sunset and the beach.” They also enjoy playing charades and traveling together.
Christopher (17) and Grace (13) both attended St. James Academy for elementary school when they moved from New York. Christopher is now a junior at Cathedral Catholic High School and Grace is in seventh grade at R. Roger Rowe School. Both kids are active outdoors, and enjoy soccer, surfing, and snowboarding. Christopher also likes hiking, spearfishing, fly fishing, and snorkeling, while Grace adores tennis, skiing, and fashion.

They are also involved in their church and in local volunteer endeavors. This active family of four is truly loving life in Solana Beach!
