The San Dieguito Union High School District (SDUHSD) Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Robert Haley as its new superintendent following a national search conducted over the summer. Dr. Haley has served as the Superintendent of Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District in Northern California for the past seven years, and has previous experience in six school districts as a teacher, principal, and district-level administrator. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

Dr. Haley is well-versed in school finance issues and the operational aspects of school district management, and serves on the State of California Fiscal Crisis & Management Assistance Team Board of Directors. He is also known for his research and work on school safety and is a member of the Association of California School Administrators’ Fatal School Violence Task Force. “Dr. Haley is the ideal superintendent for our district,” said SDUHSD Board President Beth Hergesheimer. “He believes in the team approach to leadership, actively listening, collaborating, and focusing decision-making on what is best for students.” For more information visit www.sduhsd.net.
