Voices for Children’s (VFC) eighth annual Wine Women and Shoes fundraiser was a great success this year. The event, co-chaired by Patricia Brutten and Marina Marrelli, was held on the rooftop deck at the Del Mar Plaza and included premium wine tasting, delicious food, a fashion marketplace, live auction, and a fashion show styled by Kristi Brooks. Over $500,000 was raised in support of VFC’s Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program.

VFC works to transform the lives of abused, abandoned, or neglected children in the San Diego County foster care system by providing them with trained volunteer CASAs, who work one-on-one with a child or set of siblings to ensure their needs are met. VFC holds several fundraising events throughout the year, including the Fostering Hope Golf Classic in the spring and the Starry Starry Night gala in September.
