Amid the uncertainty and fear caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, nonprofit Kids for Peace encourages children and families to actively spread love, light, and positivity to others. The organization’s new Loving Letters for Grandfriends project seeks to specifically address seniors who may be experiencing loneliness while in isolation at home. Know a senior in need of some extra love during these trying times? Sign them up to receive a letter! Community members are also invited to sign up to write letters of love, hope, and support for a senior in need. Sign up at www.kidsforpeaceglobal.org/lovingletters.

Another easy way to share love with the community is through Kids for Peace’s Happy Heart Hunt. Simply cut out a heart of any size from any material, decorate or leave it blank, and tape the heart to a street-facing window for all to see. As word spreads, go on a family walk and see how many happy hearts you can find.

“We hope these activities will continue to help foster peace with our children, inspire fun with our families, and shine a healing light of love upon our world,” Kids for Peace said in an email. “We’re all in this together!”
